Long Island IVF WINS– AGAIN!! Best of Long Island 2016: Best In Vitro Fertility Practice!

By Tracey Minella

January 10th, 2016 at 8:32 am

We are beyond excited to announce that… for the second consecutive year… Long Island IVF was voted the Best In-Vitro Fertility Practice in the Best Of Long Island 2016 contest.

And it’s all because of YOU!

To be the best infertility practice on Long Island means that you’ve trusted us not only with your care…but with your biggest dream. And that we came through for you in a way that compelled you to recommend us to others by voting.

The doctors, nurses, embryologists, and the rest of the Long Island IVF staff are so humbled by this honor and so thankful to each and every one of you who took the time to cast a vote in our favor. From the moms juggling LIIVF toddlers… to the dads coaching LIIVF teens…to the parents sending LIIVF adults off to college or down the aisles… to the LIIVF patients still on their journeys to parenthood who are confident in the care they’re receiving…we thank you all.

We love what we get to do every day…build families. And that’s all the thanks we really need. However, when you recommend us to your friends and families and endorse us to the public by voting for us, you enable us to help even more infertile couples fulfill their dreams of building a family. And we’re thankful for that as well.

As we’ve done for almost 28 years, we offer patients our unique blend of cutting-edge medical technologies and holistic, personal support… wrapped in the comfort of a private, non-hospital setting. Because we believe all people have the right to pursue their dream of parenthood, we have long-offered family-building treatments specially designed for the LGBT community’s unique needs. We also offer grants and other programs to help make treatment options more affordable. https://www.longislandivf.com/ivf_grants.cfm

Thanks again for your vote and for trusting us with your care.

Long Island IVF Family Reunion 2014 Memories

By Tracey Minella

November 11th, 2014 at 4:26 pm

Long Island IVF just celebrated its 26th Annual Family Reunion event. With schools closed and many people off from work, we were blessed with an exceptionally high turn-out of babies and new parents. And we couldn’t have been happier!

The family reunion is the highlight event of our year because it’s when the doctors and staff get to meet the newest crop of little miracles. The last time some of these babies were held, they were only a few cells in size! It’s such an emotional experience for doctors and patients alike. This year, 99 of the newest babies came out. Maybe we’re biased, but they were all gorgeous! And their parents were bursting with smiles and pride…happiness and gratitude replacing the worry and stress of the past. A photographer was capturing the little dickens in a fall-themed pumpkin patch.

It was remarked that if we’d had all of the babies we helped to create for the past 26 years, we’d have filled the Nassau Coliseum!

We were also so lucky to have the event covered by several media outlets, including CBS, Fox, FIOS, and News 12. Not only did that coverage expose our practice’s success to potential patients who may need our family-building services, but it enabled all of our patients, past and present, to share in the reunion experience. You could feel the happiness in the air.

Please check out some of the videos of that news coverage on our Facebook page or at these links and check back often as we will update them as they are available:

Have you been to a LIIVF family reunion? If so, what was the best part? If not yet, what part do you imagine would be the most fulfilling?

Long Island IVF and its Doctors Nominated in Best of Long Island 2015

By Tracey Minella

September 16th, 2014 at 6:03 pm

Long Island IVF is so pleased to announce that it has been nominated “Best In Vitro Fertility Practice” in the Long Island Press “Best of Long Island (“BOLI”) 2015” Contest. (This is a new category. Prior to this year, our doctors had to be nominated in the OBGYN category.)

Four of our doctors were also on the nominee list: Daniel Kenigsberg MD, David Kreiner MD, Steven Brenner MD, and Joseph Pena MD. (You’ll find Dr. Brenner in the OBGYN category).

Thank you to all of our patients and their families for nominating us in this public opinion-based contest. Word-of-mouth recommendations have always been the cornerstone of our practice and we appreciate you taking a moment to cast a vote in our favor. It really is an honor to be nominated. Now that nominations are done, voting for a winner begins shortly.

The voting period to determine the one ultimate winner in each category begins on October 1 and continues until December 15 and voters may cast one vote per day. For those interested in voting for any of the many businesses or service providers who have been nominated, you may do so at: http://bestof.longislandpress.com/voting

Again, thanks for making our day by nominating us “Best In Vitro Fertility Practice”. We love what we do.

And that begs the question: How did YOU come to hear of Long Island IVF?

Was it a recommendation from friends or family? Your gynecologist? A print or radio ad? The internet? Research into our success rates and innovative programs? Something else? What brought you into the practice? (Curious minds want to know.)

Long Island IVF Doctors Dominate Long Island Top Doctors Guide

By Tracey Minella

July 31st, 2014 at 9:32 am

L-R Drs. Brenner, Pena, Kenigsberg & Kreiner

Long Island IVF is proud to announce that several of its doctors have been included in the Top Doctors on Long Island Guide selected from the 2014 Castle Connolly Guide by Newsday.

Daniel Kenigsberg, MD and Steven Brenner, MD, who both consistently appear on the prestigious listing as Reproductive Endocrinologists were honored again. In addition, their partner Joseph Pena, MD joined them on the Top Docs list this year.  Since doctors do not and cannot pay to appear on this list, but rather are nominated and selected through a peer recognition process, being named to the Top Docs list is an honor that never gets old for our physicians.

In addition, Long Island IVF partner and reproductive endocrinologist David Kreiner, MD and Long Island IVF’s on-staff expert infertility urologist, Yefim Sheynkin, MD (who is also director of the Male Infertility and Microsurgery Program at Stony Brook Medicine) were interviewed for and featured in the article “Treating Infertility: Millions of couples are being helped” by Greg Burt, on page 60 of the Newsday Top Docs Guide which came out this week.

Long Island IVF is proud of all of its physicians, embryologists, nurses and staff for their commitment to its patients and is grateful for the recognition given by Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors Guide honors. But the best reward for a job well done is the satisfaction we get from building families every day and seeing the very real impact our work has on the lives and happiness of our patients.

In an effort to give back to the Long Island community, Long Island IVF has donated a free IVF cycle as a door prize for its very special infertility fundraiser on August 23, 2014 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Long Island IVF and The Tininia Q. Cade Foundation host “Dancing for the Family” at the beautiful Dance With Me Long Island® studio that is home to Dancing with the Stars® champion dancers, in Glen Head, NY. Attendees will enjoy a professional dance lesson, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a silent auction for only $65 (or $100 VIP). One lucky attendee will win a Free IVF cycle, valued at approximately $10,000. The cycle is transferable once (subject to certain restrictions), so bring all your friends and family to increase your odds of winning. Tickets are limited so buy yours today. Long Island IVF Designated an Aetna Institute of Excellence™ Infertility Clinic

By Tracey Minella

July 17th, 2014 at 3:17 pm

Long Island IVF is proud to announce it has been recognized as an Aetna Institute of Excellence™ Infertility Clinic for Assisted Reproductive Technology services.

Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. In line with this goal, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. Facilities are selected for their unique expertise in consistently delivering evidence-based, safe care.

Long Island IVF has been selected as one such specialized, unique, and safe facility.

“From the day LIIVF first opened its doors 26 years ago, we’ve been committed to providing the safest, most advanced medical care to the infertility community on Long Island”, said Dr. Daniel Kenigsberg, Reproductive Endocrinologist and co-founding partner of Long Island IVF. “So to be recognized by Aetna as an ‘Institute of Excellence’ is not only an honor, but a validation of that commitment.”

Dr. David Kreiner, Reproductive Endocrinologist and co-founding partner of Long Island IVF, agrees. “Infertility is very stressful and the pressure on infertile couples to choose the right fertility practice can be overwhelming,” adds Dr. Kreiner. “The ‘Institute of Excellence’ distinction helps direct infertile patients to the doctors who have been recognized as leaders in the field of infertility and assisted reproductive technology.”

While recommendations from successful patients have always been a great source of new patient referrals, many couples who are trying to conceive may not know someone who has used assisted reproductive technology to get pregnant, or they may not be ready to openly admit that they’re suffering from infertility. So, the Aetna Institute of Excellence™ Infertility Clinic designation is a great resource to direct patients to quality care.

Long Island IVF Doctors Named to “Super Doctors” List

By Tracey Minella

May 23rd, 2014 at 12:52 pm

Dr. Pena

Did you catch the big news in Sunday’s New York Times Magazine?

Long Island IVF doctors, Dr. Joseph Pena and Dr. Michael Zinger, have been named as New York “Super Doctors” in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology, securing two of just 6 spots on the elite list for the combined Long Island and Brooklyn area.

What makes this exciting and humbling is that “Super Docs” honorees are chosen by their peers. You can’t buy your way onto the list through paid advertising (at least LIIVF’s doctors didn’t pay for advertising!), or get on it by generating the most “likes” in a social media campaign (but feel free to come over and “like” us on Facebook anyway at http://www.facebook.com/longislandivf! It is doctors recognizing other doctors’ talent and ability.

For a complete list of the SuperDoctors in Reproductive Endocrinology, click here: http://bit.ly/1hglvmu

Dr. Zinger

We know of many other top notch doctors…both on the Long Island IVF team and in other fields who are not included on the Super Doctors list… and are humbled by this recognition. Thanks to all the physicians who voted for Drs. Pena and Zinger for this honor.

And of course, we’d like to thank our wonderful patients, who so often sing the praises of their LIIVF doctors… because it’s possible many of the doctors who nominate our physicians for these honors may have first heard about them from you! You are the reason we all love what we do every day.

Long Island IVF’s Extreme Family Building Makeover Free Micro-IVF Winner is…

By Tracey Minella

September 4th, 2012 at 7:19 am

I can’t sleep tonight. It’s 1:00 a.m. now and I know that many of the eligible winners are tossing in their sleep, too.

I am torn between extreme sadness for the wonderful entries that weren’t chosen as the Grand Prize winner this year…and the extreme happiness I feel for the entrant who was chosen as this year’s Grand Prize winner . She will be getting a knock on her front door in about 5 hours. It turns out that this year, the winner is a local woman. In the past, we’ve had local and out-of-state winners. We’ve had winners for videos and winners for essays. This year, we have a secondary infertility winner for the first time.

I soooo wish I could be there for the moment the prize is awarded, but I can tell you what I expect will happen. I’ll paint you a picture of it. I won’t post this until I know she’s been told though, so it’ll be after8:00I bet.

Dr. Pena and some of the Long Island IVF staff, and a video crew have synchronized their watches and will sneak up the front lawn of the winner’s home at precisely 7:00 am. They will have balloons and probably a giant “free micro-IVF” certificate (like the fake “checks” lottery winners are presented) in hand. Maybe a local news reporter will even drop by.

Ding. Dong. Will she be awake? Asleep? Presentable?

 HOME?!

Of course, she’ll be home. I hope she is surprised. I hope winning makes it easier for her to drive by the bus stops tomorrow. I hope she smiles for a month. Or two. Or nine.

Congratulations to Jessica for “We’ll NEVER Stop Hoping”, for winning the Grand Prize free micro-IVF cycle! View…and share… her AMAZING winning video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HzTjikZFbY

Thank you to all who entered the contest this year. We were touched by your infertility stories and grateful that you chose to share them. Please do not give up on your dream. This year’s winner, Jessica, did not win last year’s contest, but she came back and tried again this year. She even entered both an essay and a video! Though you may understandably be disappointed, we hope you join us at Long Island IVF in wishing Jessica and Rob good luck as they embark on the next step in their family-building journey. And we hope that if you haven’t conceived before the next contest, that you will enter again next year.

Please stay tuned for upcoming contests, raffles and give-aways, plus news on grant programs, studies, and other financially-friendly programs for family-building at Long Island IVF. The best way not to miss them is to bookmark this blog or like us on Facebook.

Become a regular contributor here and get to know us; let us get to know you and tell us what you need so we can do our best to provide it. One of our Facebook fans made a great suggestion and we’re working on a new contest based on it. So talk to us… and to each other. This is your space.

A Winning Combination of Two IVF Practices!

By Tracey A. Minella

November 11th, 2011 at 1:28 am

We have BIG NEWS! East Coast Fertility and Long Island IVF have recently combined practices to serve their patients even better than before! This is good news for our patients.

We understand that you may have concerns, especially during the initial adjustment phase. Please ask whatever questions you have. Most people don’t like change. But rest assured, this blending of two of Long Island’s most successful fertility practices will give the patients of both practices everything they love about their chosen practice…plus access to all of the complementary services of the other practice. It’s a blending of “high tech” and “high touch”…where sleek, state-of-the-art clinical practice meets accessibility, hand-holding, holistic, cutting-edge/alternative medicine. Now you can have it all.

Bet you didn’t know that the directors of both practices founded Long Island IVF…together…nearly a quarter century ago. They were Long Island’s IVF pioneers! But after ten years apart building separate yet somewhat different practices, they’ve realized they’re better together!

Take it from me (who was a patient and worked as a medical assistant for them when they were originally together), this is really wonderful news for today’s infertility patients. You couldn’t ask for a better combination!

Click here for the initial website announcement: http://www.eastcoastfertility.com/?id=213

Some of the physicians of the combined practices are pictured above (l to r): Steven Brenner, MD, Joseph Pena, MD, Daniel Kenigsberg, MD, and David Kreiner MD.

We want to know what you think of this blending of practices and what questions or concerns you may have. Please ask us, so we can put you at ease. Whether you comment here or speak to us in person, we look forward to addressing any concerns.
